Each piece of equipment is operated by certified diagnostic imaging specialists dedicated to quickly, safely and efficiently providing results for physicians to diagnose and treat patients.
- Radiographic Fluoroscopy
- C-Arm Fluoroscopy
- Dexa Bone Scan
- Digital Mammography
The Hologic Lorad M-IV unit is designed to offer superior imaging, enhanced operating efficiency and maximum patient comfort. The process is filmless, so the digital images it produces are readily available to the technologist. Images can then be sent to the radiologist for interpretation and forwarded to other facilities for comparison. Once the images are no longer needed, they are stored permanently in our digital archive.
Dexa Bone Scan
Bone density scanning is most often used for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. This advanced bone density technology allows us to easily and more accurately diagnose bone density loss especially for patients who might have an increased risk of developing osteoporosis. We are now able to detect bone loss in the earliest stages at a point where treatment can be more successful.
Our radiologists can perform many image-guided procedures, including CT-guided biopsies of the liver, lung, lymph nodes, and more. Ultrasound-guided biopsies can be performed on the abdomen (to include liver, kidney & others), breast, lymph nodes, and thyroid. Diagnostic Imaging Services at PPRH are available 24 hours a day for emergencies and inpatient procedures.
For outpatient procedures, the department is open Monday – Friday, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday, 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (X-ray and CT only).
